While at Oregon State I’ve worked on and produced varied video content. Below are some examples of what I’ve done.
Blue Ember on Locals Live
I produced and directed this episode of Locals Live, the live concert program on KBVR-TV at OSU. Looking back, I really wish we had used smaller graphics, and had positioned the drummer so he could be seen in the wide shot.
Battle of the Bands 2006
Battle of the Bands is KBVR’s largest remote production every year. This year I was one of two directors, and helped with preproduction, set-up and tear-down. This clip really shows just how big an event Battle of the Bands is.
Me Battle of the Bands 2007
This shows some of what I did at the last Battle of the Bands. Another student filmed a documentary of the event for a class, so I borrowed the footage to give an example of me producing and directing.
Opera at OSU
I produced and directed this collaboration between KBVR and the Oregon State music department. The lighting could be better, but the audio turned out well.
Campus Spotlight
During winter term 2008 I was the teaching assistant for OSU’s multi-camera studio production course. This is a clip from the interview program I produced with the students. I scheduled guests, made scripts and rundowns, and managed/helped the crew.
Cinder Code Profiles
I filmed and edited these profiles as the final project for my field production class in fall 2007. The concept behind them is that each would air after a break on a Locals Live episode featuring Cinder Code.
